MEET THE COACHES

Hello Everyone! 

I am Coach Ashley and I am a graduate of North Carolina Central University, twice. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Sciences with a concentration in Child Development. She holds a Masters of Arts in Educational Technology. Ashley has been licensed in the state of NC for teaching and worked with a wide variety of educators and professionals across the educational and business setting. Ashley owns a childcare center in addition to being co-owner of Bea-A-Mayzed Cheer Company and Rhone-Williams Enterprises. In her spare time, Ashley enjoys building websites, cooking, and spending time with her wife and children. Ashley is equipped with 5 years of competitive and recreational coaching experience as well as over 10 years of educator experience. Ashley believes that confidence is key and teaching confidence is essential in helping to grow any child from the inside out.

Hello Everyone!

I am Coach Shay and I hold my Bachelor of Science in Special Education, A Master of Science in Educational Leadership and Principal Administration, and has completed all her coursework for her Doctorate in Special Education Administration. Shay has served as a special education administrator and holds NC Teaching license in Elementary, Middle, and High School as well as Special Education. Shay is owner of Exceptional Education Consulting Services in addition to being co-owner of Bea-A-Mayzed Cheer Company and Rhone-Williams Enterprises. In her spare time Shay enjoys cooking, making apparel, scrapbooking and family time. Shay is equipped with 11 years of coaching experience and 15 years of educator experience. She has coached school, competitive, and recreational level dance and cheer. Shay believes in building athletes from the inside out and any child that desires to dance should be allowed to in their capacity.

Hello Everyone! 

I am Monica Giggetts, I am graduate of the University of North Carolina of Greensboro (UNCG). I have a bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a concentration in Early Childhood Education. I have my Master’s Degree from Capella University in Early Childhood Education as well.  I have worked at UNCG childcare education program for sixteen years where I have taught infant, toddlers and preschoolers. I have also supervised and mentored many college students on the paths to become teachers.

I have a passion to work with children of all ages. For 10 years, I was the leader over the youth department ministry of Shiloh Rock Baptist church, where I worked with all the children through dance youth ministry. I enjoy planning activities for children and just getting to know them and the personal interest. I am a mom to two amazing children that love cheer, dance and gymnastics. I am THRILLED to be welcomed into the bam family as a coach!

I am Coach Crystal and I am the mother of three, licensed notary and paralegal. Coach Crystal serves in her capacity of Adminstrtive Coach. Her background in childhood development coupled with her professional credentials are two of the many talents she brings to BAM. Coach Crystal  enjoys spending time with her family and traveling in her spare time. Coach Crystal believes in proving a safe and nurturing environment for parents and athletes.

Hello Everyone!

I am Coach Janel and I am a seasoned dancer and instructor with over a decade of experience. My competitive dance journey started in 2009, and I had the honor of leading my high school team as the color guard captain in 2010. We won first place overall at the championships that year. After high school, I became an instructor and led another team to victory, securing another first-place finish. I have been dancing since I was a child and have founded several youth ministries that are still active today. As a mother of two girls, I enjoy spending time with my family, teaching them dance and music. When I'm not teaching or dancing, I love to cook and laugh.

Hello Everyone!

Mrs. Tonya is a cum laude graduate of Columbia College with a B.F.A. degree in modern dance with an emphasis in performance and choreography.  While at Columbia College, she was on the Dean's List all four years as well as the President's List her senior year.  She was inducted in the Order of the Purple Seal (Scholastic Honor Society) as well as the Omicron Delta Kappa (National Honor Society).  She was a member of the Columbia College Dance Company where she choreographed and performed in all dance concerts.  She was also president of the Dance Majors' Club her senior year.  She has performed at the American College Dance Festival and the Spoleto Festival in Charleston, SC.  After completing college, she was the dance instructor for two middle schools in Richland County School District #1 in Columbia, SC. Mrs. Tonya has 18 years of intensive training in ballet, tap, jazz, modern, lyrical and gymnastics.  She has won numerous dance competitions, gymnastics meets and pageants including being 2nd runner-up in the Miss Dance of South Carolina and being a contestant in the Miss SC Pageant. Mrs. Tonya is the former director of Laurinburg School of Dance Arts for 14 years.  She has also taught in Raeford at the First Health Fitness Center and in Fayetteville at The Dance Connection.  She is also the past owner of Elite Dance Academy in Laurinburg, NC.  She has also taught ballet at Elite Dance of Durham and was the company ballet instructor at Energy Dance in Raleigh, NC.

She has also been a judge for regional dance competitions.  She is a 2013 graduate of Ashford University where she obtained her Masters of Arts in Organizational Management specializing in Human Resource Management.  She is currently a real estate agent at Windham Realty brokered by ERA Live Moore.  Tonya is happily married to Leonard, and they are the proud parents of 3 children.
